11th Annual Basketball Hall of Fame Rotary Club of Springfield Service Above Self Award Luncheon

On Thursday, November 18th, the Springfield Rotary Club will host its annual Service Above Self Luncheon at the Basketball Hall of Fame on the historic “Jerry Colangelo Court of Dreams” at Center Court.
 
At this annual celebration, the Springfield Rotary Club joins the Basketball Hall of Fame to present the “Service Above Self Awards”, honoring a local and national recipients. These prestigious awards are the Rotary Club’s highest honor, recognizing those individuals that put their service to others above personal goals.

Mike Stone is a partner at Cofab Design, a product design and manufacturing consultancy. He is a mechanical engineer and designer with a penchant for multidisciplinary projects, products, prototypes, and hands-on hammer swinging. He is a co-founder of Brick Coworkshop, a community-oriented collaborative industrial work space, and a member of the leadership team at AF, a national traveling pop-up marketplace. He is a part of the 2018 BusinessWest 40under40 class and sits on the Western Mass Advisory Council for FORGE, the nonprofit spinout of Greentown Labs, as well as the Board of Directors for LightHouse, an alternative to traditional high school. 
The Rotary Club of Springfield will hold our Paul Harris and Community Grant Celebration
on September 21, 2021 At 5:30pm 
Twin Hills Country Club
(700 Wolf Swamp Road Longmeadow, MA 01106)
 
    A total of $10,000 in grants will be awarded to 5 local charities for capital improvement projects. 
The 2021 recipients are Community Music School, Forest Park Zoo, Jewish Family Services, Viviendo Sin Lamites and Tapestry. 
In addition, Springfield Health Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris will receive the Paul Harris Award, Rotary’s highest recognition, for her work during the COVID-19 pandemic in the City of Springfield. 
 
The event will feature a full dinner buffet with dessert. 
A cash bar will be available.  
The ticket cost is $40 per person.
