This past Friday we had the pleasure of hearing a presentation from Leo Williams from Springfield Neighborhood Housing Services. Leo shared with us how SNHS helps families with progressive wealth creation, by means of several program services they provide. It was informative and entertaining. Members had a slew of questions and comments. It is important, as a club to know and understand the service work that is happening in the community. It helps us to target our efforts and resources and provide support that can make an impact. Thank you, Leo and SNHS for the difference you make.
This Friday we will hear from Cynthia Melcher from the World Affairs Council. This presentation will take us to the wider world, in keeping with Rotary’s priorities world-wide. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend. Sue Mastroanni will be chairing the meeting in my absence. Thank you, Sue. I am sure it will be a great meeting. I will return for our meeting the following week which will be a club assembly. We have many updates from our committees to share and discuss. Our work continues. Also, please try to attend if you can to take part in the fellowship that we all enjoy.
