Dear Fellow Rotarians,

We had another great meeting this past Friday where we welcomed Greg Clark, Stewardship Officer for the Springfield Rescue Mission (SRM), who provided an overview of the Springfield Rescue Mission – “We are Not A Soup Kitchen.”  Learn more in our newsletter!  Thank you to Lamont, First Vice President for his leadership while I was away at school.  Also, Lamont is working diligently on his 2017/18 slate.

I look forward to seeing you this Friday where we will welcome Dr. Patrick Carley, Professor, Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program School of Health Sciences at American International College in Springfield along with Dr. Susan Lachowski, Director of the AIC Exercise Science program and Joseph Kessler, MBA, Emeritus Hasbro Games.  Dr. Carley¹s topic will be office ergonomics and how to safely transition to the best sit-stand desk set up.

I am very excited how our new member Alisa Garanzha has become our Director, Technology Liaison and has created a newsletter format for us to use…thank you Alisa!
If you have any news, please send it along directly to Alisa so we may share at alisa.garanzha.usa@gmail.com.

Have a great rest of your week and see you Friday.

In Service,
Laurie A. Rosner, President

Make your $100.00 donation to the Foundation and $33.33 to Polio today…and do not forget about our annual service fund for $100.00.  We certainly have a generous club who understand the impact we make globally.

For your convenience, please see below direct links to contribute today. Please make your contribution by February 3, which is our Club Assembly meeting date.

SPECIAL THANK YOU!
A special thank you to Dee, Decorti Rodgers-Tonge, for presenting to Greg Clark, Stewardship Officer for the Springfield Rescue Mission (SRM), my dad’s story and history…how perfect timing with them celebrating their 145th anniversary and looking for historical stories.  He invited all of us to come visit the SRM either individually or as a group at anytime.  Greg did a great job letting us know about the programs the SRM delivers.   His topic was “the SRM-we are not a soup kitchen.”  Attached is a flyer he gave out which tells their story and program details.   Springfield is on the move…serving above self!
