Nov 22, 2018 - THANKS Giving

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

I want to wish all of you and your families a very happy Thanksgiving.  It is so easy to get caught up with life as we quickly move from one thing to another. As we do each week at out meeting, let us take a moment to pause and be thankful for the blessings we have in our lives and remember those less fortunate.

In addition to being thankful for many things this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the privilege of being President of OUR Rotary club. I am grateful to all of you for your support and confidence in me to hold this position. And I am thankful so many of you are involved in our different committees and activities. Whether it’s helping out at the check in table, selling raffle tickets, greeting guests, proposing speakers, helping with the Bulletin, getting sponsors for events, serving dinner at Friends of the Homeless, attending Rotary functions or saying “yes” when a need arises in our club. I am thankful to all of you for ALL YOU DO, each and every week.

Last Thursday’s Service Above Self lunch was an “over-the-top” success (according to John Doleva) and it wouldn’t have been possible without your help and support.  So thank you!

Wishing you and yours a warm and happy Thanksgiving.

President Sue Mastroianni

We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.

SERVICE ABOVE SELF LUNCHEON
Last Thursday’s “Service Above Self” lunch was a heart warming and nearly sold-out event! It was evident our honorees, Jeb Balise and John Calipari, along with Jim Russell were touched to be recognized. It was a privilege to be President of the Springfield Rotary Club and address the attendees. I am hopeful many of them will take advantage of the “Guest Lunch cards” that were distributed on the tables and come visit us at Rotary .
