Hello Fellow Rotarians!

Thank you for another great meeting last week. During this meeting I noted that our Club achieved the District Centennial Award! This award is given to Rotary Clubs that have participated in significant Rotary Foundation activities throughout the year and have been excellent examples of Rotary’s definition of Service Above Self and The Rotary Foundation’s motto of Do Good in the World. Thank you for your service above self giving of your time, talent and treasures! During this same Installation Meeting, we were also recognized and received the Rotary District 7890 Newsletter Award. Two awards…great job! Because of you we are continuing to make a positive difference. Thank you Alisa and you for providing information each week to her so we may continue to share all the great things going on at our club!

Gary and I are so thankful for the opportunity to host so many Rotarians. We had lots of laughs and fellowship. Gary and I thank you for such fellowship and nice notes. Please see more picture in our bulletin!

The Ad Club of Western Mass honored 4 with Pynchon Medals for public service and I am pleased to note that our very own Rotarian Paul Sears was named one of them. Please read more here. Also, the Kev’s Foundation, Susan Canning, was recognized, which we honored last year during our Community grants event. Keep up the great work Paul and Sue!

This Friday is our Changing of the Guard. It has been my honor to serve. I look forward to a robust attendance along with all slate of officers and chairs to attend. We want to recognize the 2016/2017 slate and welcome the 2017/2018 slate. I look forward to 100% attendance. I know, it is summertime and some Rotarians’ are away; however, please make every effort. As I noted, we had a great June joint board meeting and we are on our way to another great year together to make a positive difference locally and throughout the world.

In closing, again we have an awesome club! I urge you to continue to share Rotary with others…it’s easy just ask…service above self…it’s great to be part of something bigger than us!

ROSNER’S FELLOWSHIP EVENT

Thank you to Laurie and Gary Rosner for hosting so many Rotarians. We had a wonderful time in your lovely home! The meals you prepared were delicious, and merely thinking about those homemade meatballs you served for main makes my mouth water.

You made us feel like family the entire time we were there. Thank you for your hospitality!

Calling all District 7890 golfers.

You are cordially invited to attend the District 7890 Golf Outing on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, MA. Have a great afternoon of golfing, fellowship, great food and fun all for the price of $135.

Registration starts at 10:00 am

A barbeque lunch will be served at 11:30 am with a shotgun start at 12:30 pm

Reception, cash bar, dinner, ice cream bar and raffle at 5:30 pm

For non-golfers dinner is $40
