THIS FRIDAY

Dr. MaryAnne Herron, Ph.D., Liz Woolsey and Cathy Doner will give a presentation about their recent visit to Cambodia at this Friday's (1/26) Rotary Club's luncheon meeting.  MaryAnne has worked in Cambodia since 2003. Liz and Cathy joined Mary Anne in Cambodia on a two week trip this past October.

According to Liz and Cathy, “everything we experienced in Cambodia resonated with God’s presence. We witnessed resiliency and hope as people worked together to rise out of poverty. This journey continues to impact our lives and we are happy to share our stories and photos so that others will be inspired to make a difference in the world.”

Dr. Herron received her Ph.D. from UMASS in School Administration with post doctoral work at Harvard School of Education. She was the principal at Brookings K-8 school for 16 years and was the Director of Special Projects at The Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation.

Liz Woolsey has dedicated her life to the arts, teaching, and community service. Because of her husband’s career with the National Park Service, she has had a unique and diverse list of career experiences that have taken her around the country and the globe. Currently she is a teacher in the Southwick-Tolland Regional School System. Liz and her family have lived in Massachusetts since 2012.

Cathy Doner has been in banking full time for 37 years and is currently employed at Webster Bank. She has been Portfolio Manager in the Residential Development Department for 26 years.  Cathy raised two children on her own and has lived in Enfield since 1986. She attends St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Longmeadow where she is in the choir and in the past has been involved with children’s and mission’s ministries.

Please invite a guest to join you and hear how Rotary is a part of the wonderful work MaryAnne and others are involved with in Cambodia.
