President's Message

Bert Carter

We had another successful meeting on Zoom this past Friday.  Our attendance surpassed our last in person meeting. These meetings are a great way to keep in contact and share fellowship.  We will continue to have our weekly meetings this way as long as necessary.

Offering a virtual option to meeting participation was one of our goals this year.  The Corona Crisis forced our hand to go completely virtual. The silver lining is that we now know this can work.  We are looking forward to having in person meetings again when it becomes possible. We are hoping to continue to offer the virtual option to those who cannot make it to the meetings in person.

In the meantime, I hope to see you on Zoom this Friday and Fridays to come.  Stay safe and well.

In Fellowship and Service,

Bert

COVID-19 UPDATE FROM GOVERNOR BAKER

April 1, 2020 COVID-19 Update from Governor Baker. Please go to www.Mass.gov for the latest official information regarding COVID-19.

PERSONAL PREVENTION TIPS

Many of the things you do to help prevent colds and the flu can help protect you against other respiratory viruses, including COVID-19:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Clean things that are frequently touched (like doorknobs and countertops) with household cleaning spray or wipes.
  • Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze. Use a tissue or your inner elbow, not your hands.

DPH Public Health Advisory: Stay-at-Home Advisory

This DPH Public Health Advisory is issued to provide guidance regarding Stay-at-Home and Safe Practices.  The purpose is to take strong action to reduce the potential exposure to COVID-19 to those instances for basic food, health and well-being and for the provision of our essential services.  Everyone in Massachusetts has an important role to play to slow the transmission of this virus.  Every instance of potential exposure that can be eliminated is an important step for that individual and for our community.
