President's Message

Bert Carter

Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend.  I had the opportunity to take a “leaf drive”.  The colors were peak. It was a nice reminder of why this is such a great place to live.

The Service Above Self Luncheon is coming up on us quickly.  This is the biggest event on our calendar and a major friend/fundraiser for the club.  Please make plans to attend on November 22. It should be a great time. Tickets will be available on ClubRunner this week.  There are also sponsors and program ad opportunities. Check on ClubRunner or see John Perez if you would like to purchase an ad, table or sponsorship.  There are prices to fit every budget.

Rotary District 7890's Rotary Foundation Recognition Dinner is also coming up. Be inspired as you listen to the keynote speaker, Rotary Global Grant Scholar Emily Goldman.  All Rotarians are invited and encouraged to attend. This is sure to be a motivational evening for all! Thursday, November 7 from 6-9pm, Chez Josef located at 176 Shoemaker Lane, Agawam, MA 01001.

Also, the Rotary Leadership Institute is just around the corner as well. SATURDAY, November 9, 2019, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, A light breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee.  La Quinta Inns & Suites, 100 Congress St, Springfield, MA 01104.  Our club will reimburse the $100 registration fee if you would like to go.

It’s a busy time for Rotary.  Keep in mind that it is all about service and fellowship.

In Service,

Bert
