President's Message

Bert Carter

Last week’s virtual meeting was a big success.  Sixteen members joined the call. We had an opportunity to share our experiences in the current crisis and experience true fellowship.

We also pulled the rest of our raffle prizes.  I am working on getting the prizes out to the winners with the help of those who sold the tickets

All in person events planned for this spring are cancelled as of right now.  We will plan an online alternative where we can. The board will meet next week (virtually) and we will have more definite details to share after that.

Please join us this Friday on Zoom (details to follow) if you can.

Stay safe.

In Service and Fellowship,

Bert

COVID-19 UPDATE FROM GOVERNOR BAKER

April 1, 2020 COVID-19 Update from Governor Baker. Please go to www.Mass.gov for the latest official information regarding COVID-19.

PERSONAL PREVENTION TIPS

Many of the things you do to help prevent colds and the flu can help protect you against other respiratory viruses, including COVID-19:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Clean things that are frequently touched (like doorknobs and countertops) with household cleaning spray or wipes.
  • Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze. Use a tissue or your inner elbow, not your hands.

DPH Public Health Advisory: Stay-at-Home Advisory

This DPH Public Health Advisory is issued to provide guidance regarding Stay-at-Home and Safe Practices.  The purpose is to take strong action to reduce the potential exposure to COVID-19 to those instances for basic food, health and well-being and for the provision of our essential services.  Everyone in Massachusetts has an important role to play to slow the transmission of this virus.  Every instance of potential exposure that can be eliminated is an important step for that individual and for our community.
