President's Message
Maurice Powe

This weekend we mourn the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States Military. Memorial Day Weekend is more than a three-day weekend, sales, or the beginning of summer. Our fellow Rotarian and friend Dene and his family will welcome home Cpl. Robert C. Agard. After 73 years of being missing in action Cpl. Agard will return home to his family. Dene's experience and tribute to his cousin are a powerful lesson and a reminder to persevere and never give up.

Watching the news is difficult from Uvalde to Buffalo to Ukraine and with all the many difficulties in between it is easy to be depressed, frustrated, and angry. However, we can not quit, we must push on and continue to serve to change lives and create a better world. As Rotarians, we must imagine a better world and take action to improve our community.

In Solidarity,

Maurice Powe
