President's Message

Bert Carter

It’s crunch time.  We need to get our prizes lined up for the March Calendar Raffle this week.  We want the tickets printed up and ready to sell in February.  That’s next week.  I will be meeting with the printer this week to get everything lined up.  Then we will drop the prizes into the calendar and go to print.

As of this writing, I have 20 prizes.  We need 11 more.  Please contact me via email to let me know if you have something lined up.  I don’t need the actual prize in hand until we start the drawing.
Remember why we are doing this.  The raffle funds our grants which we award at our Paul Harris event later in the spring.  Last year we were able to award $10,000 in grants to deserving non-profits in the Greater Springfield area.  These organizations use our funds to enhance the important work they do for a variety of populations in our community.

Please join us on Friday for our weekly meeting.  Our attendance has been improving over the past few weeks.  This provides for fellowship opportunities and is a good way to keep in touch with what is happening in the club and with other members.  I hope to see you there.

In Service,

Bert

OUR MARCH CALENDAR RAFFLE

We have begun collecting donations for our March raffle. Gift certificates, tickets, and prizes donated are being collected by our President Bert Carter. Please bring them to the meeting on Friday or contact Bert. This was a very successful fundraiser for our club last year. The funds raised allowed us to give away grants to local non-profit organizations.

Your generosity and participation are greatly appreciated!
