As we enter November, I’m reminded of how much we have to be thankful for, especially the opportunity to come together as Rotarians and make a positive difference in our community.
One of the things I value most about Rotary is that we bring together people from different backgrounds, professions, and experiences who share a common desire to serve others. Every meeting, connection, and act of kindness is an opportunity to create lasting impact.
This month, we have two wonderful guest speakers who will share how their organizations are making a difference in the lives of others. I’m especially excited to welcome Stefan Davis, founder and CEO of I Found Light Against All Odds, one of the recipients of our Rotary Club of Springfield’s 2026 community grants. This is a great opportunity for our members to learn more about the organization and the impact of our club’s support.
I encourage you to attend our meetings, invite a colleague or friend, and continue helping us grow our Rotary community.
With Thanksgiving approaching, we also have an opportunity to give back through our food and donation collection for The Gray House. I hope everyone will participate in whatever way they can. Small acts of generosity can make a meaningful difference for families facing difficult times.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our club and the Springfield community. I’m grateful to serve alongside all of you.
Wishing you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Save the Date – Rotary International Convention in Barcelona
Please also include a save-the-date for the 2027 Rotary International Convention, taking place June 26–30, 2027, in Barcelona, Spain.
This is a great opportunity for members to connect with Rotarians worldwide, learn about Rotary initiatives, exchange ideas, and experience an international Rotary gathering.
Registration is now open, and members interested in attending are encouraged to begin planning early.
Thanksgiving Food & Donation Drive – The Gray House
Let’s Come Together to Help Families This Thanksgiving!
As Thanksgiving approaches, the Rotary Club of Springfield is coming together to support The Gray House and local families experiencing food insecurity.
Throughout November, we will collect nonperishable food items and grocery gift cards to support The Gray House and Sis’s House and help families in our community.
Please bring your contributions to either of our upcoming club meetings:
Thursday, November 5
Thursday, November 19
Every donation, large or small, can make a meaningful difference. Together, we can help families in our community enjoy a brighter Thanksgiving.
Thank you for putting Service Above Self into action!
