Our March Raffle fundraiser is off to a good start with 8 prizes as of last Friday. Hopefully we will see more this week. Please contact me with your prize offering or bring it to the meeting on Friday. We have 23 more to go.
Remember, funds from the raffle will support our Service Fund and thereby, our grants to local non-profits this spring.
I hope that we see more of you at our regular meeting this week. Attendance has been low over the holidays and we would like to see it pick up again soon. Remember, our service projects are successful because of the fellowship we share at meetings and other events sponsored by the club.
Speaking of events: look for an upcoming meeting of the Chalk It Up committee. We are ramping up for the event in May and will need folks to pitch in where they can. Steve Jablonski, committee chair will be announcing a meeting soon. Feel free to reach out to Steve to see how you can help.
If you have not made your annual foundation gift, time is of the essence. It is helpful for us to have full participation when we apply for an International Grant for our Cambodia project in the coming months. Checks can be delivered to Jack or, to Richard at the Friday meeting. You can also make your gift online.
I am halfway through my year as president. I want to thank you all for the privilege of serving and for all the contributions in time, talent and treasure you have each made so far this year.
Jane is the president of the Board of Directors of the Pioneer Valley Project. Pioneer Valley Project (PVP) is an organization of people and institutions which includes congregations, labor unions, and other organizations. PVP brings people together around our shared faith and democratic values to build collective power and to transform the conditions of our community so that life flourishes for all.
We have begun collecting donations for our March raffle. Gift certificates, tickets, and prizes donated are being collected by our President Bert Carter. Please bring them to the meeting on Friday or contact Bert. This was a very successful fundraiser for our club last year. The funds raised allowed us to give away grants to local non-profit organizations.
Your generosity and participation are greatly appreciated!
We are happy to welcome Nathan Skrocki and Keri Davidson-Bravman from the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB) to the Rotary Club of Springfield! They were inducted on December 6, 2019.
Their inductions were announced in the news on The Republican and BusinessWest!
Do you have some news or information that might be of interest to fellow Rotarians?*
If so, please email Samalid Hogan at smhogan413@gmail.com by Monday of each week for inclusion in Friday's bulletin.
Our weekly Bulletin goes out to more than 70 local leaders every week and is a wonderful way to spread your message. *All submissions are subject to approval.
