President's Message
Sue Mastroianni

Dear Fellow Rotarians, I am humbled and honored to have been inducted as President of our club for 2018-2019. We have a dedicated board of directors and I know we’re all looking forward to a productive year together. The theme for this Rotary year is “Be The Inspiration”. If you haven’t already received your new Rotary pin, please see me at our next meeting on July 13th as I know you will want to carry this message forward with you on a daily basis.

Summertime is a time of fun and I want that feeling to carry over into our meetings. Birthdays and Rotary anniversaries will be listed in our weekly bulletin so we can celebrate and congratulate our members in a timely fashion. So feel free to dress casually with no fear of a fine and instead celebrate with a happy dollar! Family members (kids included) are always welcome at our meetings, so don’t let daycare duties prevent you from attending a meeting.

Wishing all of you a wonderful week until our next meeting on July 13th.

Yours Truly,

President Sue

There is NO ROTARY MEETING this Friday, July 6th, due to the holiday. Our next meeting is July 13th and we have lots of celebrating to do - birthday's, anniversary's so you won't want to miss it.

NOTE: The club is collecting books for Mason Wright’s expanded library. Hard cover, paperback, children’s books and DVD’s are all needed. Please put a “Donated By The Rotary Club of Springfield” book plate inside each item you donate. BP stickers can be picked up from Sue or Richard. The books can be dropped off to Alan at 74 Walnut St. in the Mason Square neighborhood or brought to any Rotary meeting. Alan Popp has collected and/or recreated items from the Rialto Skating Rink, Johnson's Bookstore and Court Square Theater. JULY SPONSOR OF ROTARY BULLETIN

WMAS FM 94.7http://www.947wmas.com is the July sponsor* of our Rotary Bulletin. If you see Craig Swimm or Emma Gilbert please thank them for their support. We are hopeful they will become a Corporate Member soon!

*Would you like to sponsor the Rotary Bulletin?  It’s easy AND cost efficient. For $100 you get your logo, web site and a short sentence or tag line. Not bad for 4 (or 5!!!) weeks of advertising. But act fast as we have already sold July, Aug, Sept, Oct AND Nov!  Contact Sue M. for more info or to sign up!

Rotary International Convention
Save the Date!  The 2019 Rotary International Convention will take place June 1-5, 2019, in Hamburg, Germany. This is sure to be an excellent opportunity to enjoy fellowship and learn more about Rotary.

Our incoming District Governor, Kate Sims, will be attending a planning convention in San Diego very shortly.  Kate wishes to obtain a rough count of those who are interested in attending the 2019 Rotary International Convention to discuss with other Governors.

If you are potentially interested, please reply to jennifergruszka45@gmail.com. Spouses are certainly welcome. Costs are not determined at this time, but Rotarians are responsible for flights, accommodations and Convention fees.

Historically, 20-80 members of District 7890 have attended the International Conventions. You can learn more about past and future Conventions here.
