President's Message
Sue Mastroianni
March 1, 2019

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Last Friday’s meeting was filled with a flurry of activity. With only 1 week left to sell the calendar raffles, some members were still looking for more to sell!  Others were returning theirs. We printed 600 and all of them have been distributed! I am so proud of all our members who bought or sold raffles. This Friday, we begin picking the prizewinners, so if you have any raffles left (sold or unsold), please bring them to this Friday’s meeting or give them to a fellow Rotarian.

We’ll also announce the winning team for the raffle. Our club was divided into three teams for some friendly competition - Teams Sue, Bert or John. The winning team will receive a FREE raffle each, some fun prizes and bragging rights!

In addition to all the raffle frenzy, our speakers Ezra Parzybok and Mark Jarvis gave us an insiders view to the business side of the cannabis business. Ezra and Mark are partners in Greenglove Consulting, which specializes in assisting prospective cannabis businesses by provide regulatory and operational business advice to cannabis startups. It was an interesting and fascinating topic.

Hope to see you this Friday as we tally up our Raffle money and pick the first seven prizewinners!

Have a great day!

President Sue Mastroianni

TODAY IS...
March 1st is Employee Recognition Day! Dr. Bob Nelson, known as the "Guru of Thank You," and founding member of Recognition Professionals International (previously known as the National Association for Employee Recognition), created Employee Appreciation Day in 1995 because he "wanted to call attention to the importance of thanking employees when they do a good job." It has become a day when bosses and management thank and reward employees for their work, with food, gifts, and special events.
MARCH CALENDAR FUNDRAISER

This is it!!!!  This Friday, March 1st, is the FINAL day to turn in your raffles. We will be picking the first seven prizewinners and you won’t want to miss it. We will also announce which Team (Sue, Bert or John) sold the most raffle tickets. Winning team wins bragging rights (priceless), a FREE raffle ticket for each team member* and some fun prizes. *Each winning team member must have sold or bought 1 raffle ticket to qualify for a FREE raffle ticket. May the best team win!

WE NEED YOUR HELP
Dene Kimball could use a little help with displaying our Rotary flags at meetings. Dene is planning some extended vacation time soon and would like a few Rotarians to volunteer and put up the flags while he’s away (or give him a break now and then). The flags are stored at Max’s and only take a few minutes to put up or take down. Please talk to Dene about helping out. And thank you for your participation in helping to display our flags!
