Jean was joined by Matthew Blumenfeld, Campaign Director for the Library’s Promise Realized Campaign. The goal of the Promise Realized Capital Campaign is to raise $2 million to support the construction and equipping of a new branch library in Springfield’s East Forest Park neighborhood and is scheduled to run through the end of 2019, when the new branch will be opened. Jean and Matt were both very passionate about all a 21st century has to offer our community. On Friday, April 26 join us as we welcome District Governor Kate Sims as our speaker. Kate will talk about the succession of our district and the district’s newly formed opioid task force. Kate has been a Rotarian of the Manchester Rotary Club in Manchester CT for 9 years and was President of the club in FY 13 /14. On the District Level she is the past Chair of Rotaract, past AG for Area 5 and DG for District 7890 year 2108/2019. |
