Valley Eye Radio

Barbara Loh has been working in the fields of human services and journalism for many decades. She has a Masters in Social Work from the University of Connecticut concentrating on families and children, women's mental health, and domestic violence. She also was a reporter for the Springfield Daily News and graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. While volunteering at Valley Eye Radio (then Valley Radio Reading Service), she was asked to become its next executive director. She has been executive director of Valley Eye Radio for almost eight years and is passionate about blending her years of nonprofit management and fundraising experience, social work values, and journalism expertise to help those who can no longer read independently and need an accessible way of getting local news and information to stay vital and involved in their communities.
