GUEST SPEAKER: Paul Lambert
Paul Lambert joined the SSO in January, 2022 in the role of Interim Executive Director. As a 20 year subscriber to the Symphony, Paul wrote that through “good faith, hard work and creative problem solving, we look forward to a bright future for this wonderful Organization – one that we all love.” Prior to the SSO assignment, Paul had spent several decades at the Basketball Hall of Fame. He came to the Hall in June, 2002 in the newly created role of Vice President, Guest Experience & Programming. He was directly responsible for the creation, development and execution of all Hall of Fame Events, initiatives and programs on a national scale. His work has transformed the Hall of Fame Enshrinement from a single local program into an annual series of high-profile, nationally recognized celebrations and media events which have served as the bedrock of the Hall’s development and outreach efforts within the global basketball community. He was also directly responsible for all corporate and rental events within the Hall as well as management of the “Show Staff”—workers within the Hall of Fame who are responsible for the overall Guest Experience while visiting the Hall. His role evolved to a newly created role—Vice President of Enshrinement Services and Community Engagement—where his work within the local communities served by Hall of Fame Events and programs will expand to include high profile community outreach opportunities utilizing the key assets and VIP presence of the Hall of Fame brand, members and Museum. Paul serves on a number of local Boards and Community Organization steering committees including NCCJ, NEPM (past Board Chair), The Loomis Communities (incoming Board Chair), The Cape Cod Center for the Arts, Springfield Rotary, Longmeadow UNICO, the South Hadley Chorale and the South Hadley Cultural Council. |

GUEST SPEAKER: Mike Giovaninni from NetWerks
Mike has been an active follower of technology since the early 80’s, starting out as a hobby
as a teen. The technology bug guided him into service in the US Coast Guard as a Crypto Communications technician. Upon exit from the US Coast Guard Mike transferred into the Massachusetts Air National Guard to continue his service to the United States through 2001. In 1988, he took his understanding of technology into business by starting “Giotronics” (Gee- oh-tronics), servicing home and business computers as well as electronic musical equipment repair (one of his other passions). Needing a change, in 2001, Giotronics was sold off and Mike opted to spend some time in the corporate IT world by taking a position as Information Systems Manager for a large aerospace machine shop. Alas, the entrepreneurial spirit was not to be denied, and in 2005, NetWerks was born and a fond farewell to Corporate IT was bid. Since 2005, NetWerks has evolved into a regional managed service provider, supporting business networks and security. With a consistent escalation in cybercrime targeting businesses, NetWerks has moved to be more focused on cybersecurity. Today, NetWerks Strategic Services helps keep small to mid-sized businesses in New England and beyond reduce their risk of compromise. This focus fits in well with the NetWerks core philosophy of ensuring their clients success through the effective application of technology solutions. When not saving the world from cyber bad-guys, Mike enjoys all things outdoors, especially camping, fishing, backpacking, kayaking and more. An avid gardener, he spends hours working in the vegetable patch that has started to take over his yard. Above even the great outdoors, Mike’s top delight is music and along with his wife, Melissa, leads contemporary worship at Church in the Acres on Wilbraham Road every Sunday, playing guitar and serving up praise to God with his voice.
