 s\n\n \n\nMike has been an active follower of technology since the early 8
 0&rsquo\;s\, starting out as a hobby\nas a teen. The technology bug guided
  him into service in the US Coast Guard as a Crypto\nCommunications techni
 cian. Upon exit from the US Coast Guard Mike transferred into the\nMassach
 usetts Air National Guard to continue his service to the United States thr
 ough 2001.\nIn 1988\, he took his understanding of technology into busines
 s by starting &ldquo\;Giotronics&rdquo\; (Gee-\noh-tronics)\, servicing ho
 me and business computers as well as electronic musical\nequipment repair 
 (one of his other passions).\n\n\nNeeding a change\, in 2001\, Giotronics 
 was sold off and Mike opted to spend some time in\nthe corporate IT world 
 by taking a position as Information Systems Manager for a large\naerospace
  machine shop. Alas\, the entrepreneurial spirit was not to be denied\, an
 d in 2005\,\nNetWerks was born and a fond farewell to Corporate IT was bid
 .\n\n\nSince 2005\, NetWerks has evolved into a regional managed service p
 rovider\, supporting\nbusiness networks and security. With a consistent es
 calation in cybercrime targeting\nbusinesses\, NetWerks has moved to be mo
 re focused on cybersecurity. Today\, NetWerks\nStrategic Services helps ke
 ep small to mid-sized businesses in New England and beyond\nreduce their r
 isk of compromise. This focus fits in well with the NetWerks core philosop
 hy of\nensuring their clients success through the effective application of
  technology solutions.\nWhen not saving the world from cyber bad-guys\, Mi
 ke enjoys all things outdoors\, especially\ncamping\, fishing\, backpackin
 g\, kayaking and more. An avid gardener\, he spends hours\nworking in the 
 vegetable patch that has started to take over his yard. Above even the gre
 at\noutdoors\, Mike&rsquo\;s top delight is music and along with his wife\
 , Melissa\, leads contemporary\nworship at Church in the Acres on Wilbraha
 m Road every Sunday\, playing guitar and serving\nup praise to God with hi
